Plan A will go into effect on Oct. 20, which is the first day of the new grading period. Under Plan A, all students return to school full time unless they have opted for full time remote learning.

Minutes 7/20/20



Participants Present:  Shanda Adkins, Khia Myers, Amanda Buchanan, Parin Urness, Rosanna Limon

Agenda Items/ Discussions:

*Fundraisers- Meal type fundraisers for this year due to COVID uncertainties.  Possibly Chicken –Q Sept. 18 or 25.  Khia to check on specifics and update on Aug. 6.

*Little Caesar’s Pizza Kit Fundraiser- Khia checking on availability to repeat fundraiser possibly Feb. 22- March 12.  Product return date week of March 29.  Last time PTO made around $890 profit and that was with sale cut short due to COVID.


*Possible Drive In Movie Night Sponsored by PTO- Inflatable Screen- Parin to check on availability and details and report back on Aug. 6.


*PTO usually allots $100 for each full time teacher and $50 for each shared/ part time teacher at Christmas to spend on supplies needed for classrooms. PTO considering splitting that in half and offer teachers half in August and half in December since classroom supplies may be harder to come by this year due to COVID.


*Principal requested consideration of PTO funding for the following:  sound system (we borrow one to use in our gym for all programs/assemblies), Chromebook case covers for students to transport devices home safely, reusable water bottles since water fountains cannot be used due to COVID, Brain Pop subscription for K-5 teachers/students, Beach Day waterslides (hopefully in 2021)…other requests may depend on COVID needs, TBD


*Next meeting- Have grade level teachers (Jolly, Hinkle) join, if available. Mrs. Adkins will send ZOOM invitation to all – August 6, 10:00am
